I have been looking at this closely and I have noticed that a lot of people on the west cost like Trail Ready Bead Locks well I think they look like hold the mud in the rim and hummer rims don’t is their any other thing to consider ? And I think the spacing to go with on the hummer rims is 4.5 any thoughts on that

The only thing bad about the hummers is that you can only use a 16.5" tire. I will hopefuly get the rockstomper rings sometime in the summer and weld them up before the UCP ride. My tires are 42x15x15 and my rims are not that old so this is the best solution for my rig.

I like the Hummer rims. Anyone know of a shop who's willing to weld in new centers in "the area" instead of shipping them cross-country?

If it came down to it, I could setup a jig and weld them up for you John.

Sounds good guys. I won't be getting them anytime soon unfortunately. I will most likely be bumping up to a 14 bolt late this summer (post UCB) so there's no reason to get new rims before that. Let me know when you are getting the rims though, Patrick and we'll see.

Thanks for the offer to Pete. I might have to take you up on that offer or other misc. welding and fabbing /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif .

    My new rims
    [IMG]

Allied 15x10 8-lug 3.5 backspacing 32 bolt beadlocks. I can't wait to mount them on my truck when I get my bigger axles /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif. But for $40 off per rim and no shipping charge I couldn't pass a deal like that up.

Yea sure no prob. They were $135 from Tennessee Offroad in Nashville Tn.

No tax, No shipping charge 'cause he brought them with him to a rockcrawing event close to home so I just went and picked them up. The regular price is $175 a piece.
He is usually pretty good at lowering the price if you can buy in bulk. If he had to ship it was only going to be $40 bucks no to bad.

You need to post pics when you get them. I read the thread on pirate. I am going to wait till he gets the 15x10's ready.
They are going to look good. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
