I picked up a trailer hitch for $50.00. Buddy said it was too narrow for his full size pick-up. I figured it might fit the Blazer. Lined it up and it looked about right. I called a local truck accessory shop with the product number and he said it's for a '79 to '87 full size Blazer. It's a 10000lb Reese hitch. What a fluke. It's on already.

I was told there is a wiring harness that goes between the rear tail light wiring harness plug. No splicing involved. Anyone ever hear of this type of trailer harness.

There are deals out there once in a while.

Ya, they're pretty cheap. Check out Pep Boys or Auto Zone, both of them carry them.

I'm way up here in Canada living in my Igloo and there is no such thing as a Pep Boys or auto zone (around here anyway).

    Hey Dan,

Your Blazer might already be roughed in for a trailer brake plug in- check for a wiring package between the bumper and the tailgate, maybe tucked up under the roll pan. My 84 was pre-wired at the factory, and I wasn't even aware it was there until a buddy found it when we were hooking up my brake controller........ there were four wires all taped up and tucked away.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look tonight. It would be nice to have a couple of those discount auto parts stores here. I'm lucky a buddy of mine has a shop here and orders me all parts at jobber rates. He's usally busy and if I want anything done, I do it myself at his shop.

Selling fridges out of my Igloo, any takers????

Did you get both? They've got the general automotive one and a truck one. They're free, so you might as well get both. They've got really great prices on patch panels and weatherstriping in case you've got an older K5, good luck.

Actually I'm not sure. When I signed up, I guess I just didn't do it. I'll play around with it, and see if I can update it.
