Trailer legenth "?"

    Trailer legenth \"?\"

    When measuring a car hauler is the legenth of the dovetail included in the deck legenth? Would a 16' trailer w/ a 4' d/t be called a 20' trailer or would it be called a 16'? TIA.

    Typically I've seen the dovetail length stated separately, but I don't know if there is a "standard" way of stating it. Even if there is, it doesn't mean everyone would follow it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    I have seen the advertised every way imaginable.

    24 foor car trailer ( 4ft dove, 4 ft hitch, 16 ft deck)
    20 ft car carrier (hitch not included, 4 ft dove, 16 foot deck)
    etc etc etc.

    The best thing to do is call and ask.........
