when i stomp on the gas, either from a stop, or cruising, or whatever, my engine revs, but it seems the tranny kinda slips or something before all the power goes to the wheels. if i try to pass someone, or race from a rolling start, i lose a lot of ground before i start hauling ass. but then i haul ass.
is there an adjustment on the kick-down linkage shift point or anything that i can do?
i lost to a newer suburban this morning, and i know (well, i think)my truck coulda taken him. but i just kinda revved outta my power before the tranny found where it needed to be, and by then the race was essentially over.
it's not slipping, just not very smart, it seems.
