Tranny downshifting clunck

    Why is it that when I have the tranny in OD and Im coming to a stop it doesn't clunck when downshifting, but when its in drive......third to second = fine....... second to first = clunck.

    I was told that when your in D the tranny has a harder shifting pattern therefore you get the clunk. I have the same problem and was told it's caused by the Detroit I have and it's built in "slop".

    mine does the same B, I think tihs has been visited before and seems normal for most rigs. Doesn't seem right though, IMHO

    Im gonna need some help with the swap thats for sure.
    The only problem I forsee is that I cant get the truck in the garage now that I have the 36's on. LMFAO!!! Gee I shoulda had the garage built after I got into building this Blazer. LOL!!! Looks like the lift kit for the garage is next. LMFAO!!!!
