how should the TV cable on my newly installed 700r be adjusted. should there be slack, what does the cable do at different points in the travel. and i mean exactly what does it do?? not to be snotty but i need specifics.

i just tried out this thing and it seems a bit sluggish, but it could be the stall speed of the torque converter mahickey.

the shift points seem to pucked up too?

    help me please.

    beligerence doesn't justify intelligence.

there is a spring loaded adjuster on the cable at the carburetor, push the tab to release it, and let the cable slide back, be sure the tab resets, now push the gas pedal down inside the cab as far as you can, you should hear the cable click a notch or two at the end of the pedal travel, if you don't hear it click, watch the cable and have someone else push the pedal down to see if the adjuster is slipping and not holding the cable. sometimes it will be necessary to manually move the cable a notch or two to get it shifting right. the important thing is it should be stretched tight at wide open throttle. check out http://community.webshots.com/user/wdb172454
