tranny problem

    the th 350 in my 74 is struggling......if i floor it (while in drive) it seems as if it shifts back and forth from 2nd to 3rd,kinda hesitating. it also does this in 2nd. just replaced filter and fluid, proper fluid level. what might this be? also have a recent fuel filter as well.
     
  2. Sounds like the pump in the trany is going out,if the fluid pressure drops the clutches will slip.Sounds like you need a trany rebuild to me.

    tell tale signs of a tranny rebuild......sorry.

    If it isn't too important to you then I would put some seafoam tranny stuff in there first...it's worth a try.
