Tranny question I think??

    Here's the problem Im running an 86 K5 with SM465 with an NP208. When I shift from 1st to 2nd with a little gas behind it. I SOMETIMES hear a poping noise but can't tell if its coming from my tranny,transfer case,or my rear end(10bolt w/373) It still runs fine it just pops I checked my Ujoints and there good HELP!!!! /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

    tranny mounts, maybe?
    U-bolts on the axles itself?
    frame twisting from all that chevy power?

    Does it make the sound any other times, such as braking or taking off from a standstill?

    Not braking but when Ive taken off a couple of times I think its done it....
