Tranny ??? spiting fluid any body seen or had this 1 happen ???

    well i thought it was just the front pump seal or the Tourque converter seal cause thats were the fluid is coming from
    but i switch trannys and it still doing it so i guess the Torque converter is bad ??? W.T.F
    any body ever here of that happening before ??? is was working good for 3 months and looked still like new when i switched tranny earlyer today
    well any help would be great

    its from a 3 / 4 ton Burb with 6.2 and 700 R4 - 208

    you need to change the converter. i had all new seals
    and washers put in my tranny but used the old converter
    and mine still leaked. i went back in and changed the
    converter and no more leak.
    but now i have other issues. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

    Can you get those "speedy sleeves" for torque converters?

    They make them for axle yokes and harmonic balancers, converter should be a no brainer as well.

    have you checked to see if its overheating? you could have a plugged cooler line or something. this would cause fluid to come out of the overflow tube on the top forward of the tranny.
