Tranny swap

    I have An 84 K5 Blazer. I need to rebuild it and I want to put in A TH350 for the time being what are the modifications and what do I need to do.

    what tranny is in it now? are you talking about putting a th350 and transfer case in it or just a 2wheel drive th350?

    If your pulling out a 700R4 you'll have to get a spacer to go between The TH350 and the transfercase if you dont want to mess with drivelines. I've done this before.

    I got the TH350 with the blazer because the Th700 R4 needed to be re-built. The Th350 I have has A cover or what looks like A spacer that is approx. 3 1/2 inches long that covers the tailshaft does that sound right.

    I just decided to post the picture here so you can look at it.

    To the left is the transmission. You can see where the foot thingy (transfercase adapter) bolts to the crossmember and then the transfer case. Thats about the best pics I'll be able to get for you. Hope it helps.
