Hello guys. It's been a while. I need your help.

My Blazer is not lifted, I replaced all 7 U-joints and sometimes I get this loud rattling usually when coasting. First I thought it was the passenger seat or the center console, but everything is tight. I also tightened the T-case crossmember. The noise comes somewhere near the tranny or transfercase.

Should I replace the T-case mounts? Is there a transmission mount to be replaced? or is it only held between the motor and the transfer case? In otherwords, do 4wd Blazers have a tranny mount?

    It's a TH350 and a NP203, by the way.

    Thanks.

    Thanks. That's what I thought.

Is there a way of finding out if they are shot? Of course shaking the tranny/tcase combo would be impossible, unless I'm a wrestler, right?

Have someone shift it from neutral to drive a few times for you while you watch it. If it's shot, I'm sure it'll be bouncing all over.

Even if you don't see it bouncing, it can be screwed - if there's oil/ATF anywhere near the mounts, they're done for. Just replace them as a preventative maintenenace routine.
