has anyone ever used a mechincal engine temp gauge for a tranny fluid gauge i just put a engine
temp gauge on my /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif and i thought that it also might work in my tranny pan because all it is is measuring the
fluid temp just like the engine coolant

I suppose you could if you figure out a way to mount it. Tranny temp guages are not that expensive though.

    It might work out.

I bought a nice B&M guage kit with a fancy pancy guage pod from Summit and the whole deal was like $30 something. I bet some shopping around could beat that.

I'm getting ready to do just that. I bought my gages about a month ago, got the gages into my bezel but I have not got around to pulling the pan to weld on the bung for the sender yet. I'll get around to it shortly.
