Ok, these may sound dumb but is there a way to replace the tranny vent line with out removing the tranny from the truck? Also what holds it in there mine broke off, (on a 700r4 tranny) looked like the fitting was plastic /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif ?

It is just a plastic breather. Find a piece of metal tubing, steel, copper, whatever the same o.d. and and knock a small length, 1"-1 1/2" long in place of the plastic one. Then add some rubber hose up into the engine compartment somewhere, out of water, mud, goo's, harm. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

It's plastic and has a flared end. It slips into the case b4 the front pump goes in and the flare keeps it from coming on thru the case hole.

Either a snug fitting metal tube or a perfect case for J-B Weld if you can get it clean enough.
