    I though a th400 was HEAVY but your saying a 700r4 is even heaver so if you replaced a 700 witha 400 it shoudl feel faster right?

    I doubt you'll notice 20lbs of truck making any difference in the quickness department.

    Assuming the same axle ratio, the TH700 will be quicker with the 3.06:1 first gear.

    I'm guessing those #'s are without torque converters?

    Also does anyone know the weight of a 4l80e?

    In my experience my 700R4/np208 was ALOT lighter than my TH400/NP241. Both had fluid in them and the TC attached
