ECM is from an 88 350 TBI with a TH400. I'm swapping in an SM465. The ECM has some hookups for the trans. Can these just be left un-attached? Will the truck run with the orig EEPROM in there or do I have to change it out? Can I run the NSS to a switch on my clutch pedal? Finally, the SM465 has no VSS, yet the ECM has an input for a VSS signal. Is it required?

Probly won't answer your question, but I had the tranny out of my truck, wires just hanging, started the truck and no SES light came on.

Well that tells me it'll start and run without them hooked up, but don't know how it'll perform while driving without them hooked up.

    Thanks for the feedback.
