Can someone explain to me the differance in the transfer cases for the 700r4?
I really don't know what I have in my 88 K5. I have the opportunity to get a 700r4 with an 208 trans case for $400, he said it has been rebuilt. Thank you.

In 1988 K5 used both 208 and 241 t-cases. They are very similar. Don't know if they are interchangeable, but they could be. Go to Advance Adapters website or call them and they can probably tell you if you need an adapter. To see which one you have, check for the round metal tag on the back side of the case. It is stamped with the model and S/N.

Thanks for the reply. I went under the Blazer and found that I have a Model 208 C 2 Ratio 261
Now I probably need to find out whats wrong with the 700r4.
