    Transfer Case & Driveshafts ???\'s

I just won a 1985 Chevy Blazer on EBay and have some questions concernig what might be wrong with it, 1st the person that sold it said that while she was driving the Blazer one day on the Freeway the Driveshaft fell off; can that just fall off? Then she says now when she starts up the Blazer and puts into gear it makes a loud noise, what can that be? Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!!!

Hard to say without looking at it...at any rate it looks like a decent truck especially for the money!

If the rear drive line fell of then itsounds like she broke a U-joint. It might have damaged the bearings in the T-case and possibly knocked something out of alignment within the T-case itself. If the driveline is still out of the vehicle it might be when she puts it back in PARK because there is nothing to stop the transmission from spinning. Good Luck.

Also if the driveline fell out the T-case would have no fluid left in it...
If a U-joint did let go bad enough to lose the driveshaft I'd count on the tailshaft being cracked or broken too.
