transfer case info (np205,208,241)

    The 1985 version of the np 205 is slighly differnt than the early version it has a circular bolt pattern, a larger input bearing, and is only available with a 32 spline input.
    In 1981, gm introduced the np 208 chain-driven transfer-case.
    The np 208 also has a circular bolt pattern and had either a 27 spline or 32 spline input.
    In 1988, gm next introduced the np 241 chain driven transfer case.This transfer case, as far as bolt patterns and spline is identical to the np 208.

    np 205 1979-84/85 : 1 ton th400 = 32 spline

    np 205 1971-85/85 : sm 465 = 10 spline

    np 205 1985-91 : sm 465 - th400 = 32 spline

    np 205 1971-79 : th350 = 27 spline

    np 208 and np 241 1981-00 : 700r - 4l60 - 4l60e = 27 spline

    np 208 and np 241 1981-00 : sm 465 - th400 - 4l80 = 32 spline

    I wanted to add that there are a few years where chevrolet had another option. I beleive that in 80-81 there were a limited number of blazers that had a TH350 tranny with a NP205. These are similar to the NP208 in the fact that they run tranny fluid instead of gear oil. They also have a 27 spline input shaft.

    all th350 np 205 are 27 spline!
