Hey everybody. Can someone translate this info into an NP number for me please. It is off a 78 Chevy pickip with a 350, 4 bolt. It has C-11890 written on it. That is all I know from the guy.

And does anyone have a web site address lying around with pics of the different xfer cases in case I have to visually ID it when I get there.

    Thanks!

Is that the casting number on the transfer case? If so, there is no handy reference book that identifies units by casting numbers. The only two that can be confused is the NP 203 and NP 205 (all steel housing). On the 205 there is a small, round, three-bolt idler-shaft cover between the rear output shaft housing and the front output bearing retainer (as viewed from the back side). This cover is not on 203's. On the 205, Fords have a left-hand drop and Chevy's and Dodges were a right-hand drop.
