My transfer case, 241, is having some serious issues with wheeling in 4hi, it always pops back into 2hi. but when i wheel in 4lo, no problem at all. Looking at the transfer case when you put a load on the drivetrain, it flexs alot, and this combined with hitting the body is what i beleive pops it out of 4 hi. Is there anyway to change the linkage to avoid this.

Grim helped me out on this one a while back.(Thanks again Grim). I have a body lift on my '78 K5 and had already trimmed the hole so the shifter wouldn't hit wouldn't hit, you can buy oversized boots at most parts stores. As far as popping out of 4H... check your linkage adjustment. I thought mine was adjusted properly til I re-checked it. So I readjusted it (again) and it hasn't popped out since.
