I want to switch out my NP208 in my 86 Blazer to a NP241 so I can put a slip yoke eliminator on it. has anyone done this and how difficult?

86 Blazer 4" lift 35" MTRs locked front, still 1/2 ton axles

If I am not mistaking on this, I believe it is a bolt in swap.

You will have to find a 241 that came with a mechanical speedo cable, most of the later 241s came with electronic speedos, which will not work with your 86 truck. As long as you can find one with a mechanical speedo you should be able to bolt in...of course you are probably already planning on changing driveshafts, but that will need changing also...

are you sure about the driveshaft part, is it to long or short? I know the output splines are the same, or were you just saying that because of the slip yoke kit?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    You call that dirty!?

As far as I know the SYE uses a speedo gear.
