Transfer case

Discussion in '1973-1991 K5 Blazer | Truck | Suburban' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Mar 23, 2000.

What's the easiest way to check the fluid level in the transfer case. Every once in a while I'll see a drip in the very edge, the blue bolt. I hope that doesn't sound weird, I don't know if there is even supposed to be a blue bolt there. I guess Its ATF.I just want to make shure eveythings OK.
    thanks,

Another question on the same subject would be how often to change it and what do you use (regular ATF or multi-grade oil?) (BTW: I've got the NP208)

Chiltons say's to check it every 4 months or 6000 miles. And they SUGGEST using Dextron II.
