transfer songs from one computer to other?

    on my desktop at home ive got a few hundred songs, and since im going to college i didnt really wanna start over with my laptop. so is there a way i can transfer them all from my desktop to laptop?? thanks..

    If both computers have a network card, go to your local computer shop or best buy and pick up a crossover cable. Plug it into both computers and make sure your on the same workgroup, share the music files from your desktop(right click on the file that your music is stored in, go to sharing, share, create a new shareand give everyone full control permissions. If its win98or me you will have to enable file and printer sharring first. make sure to remove this after your done though.) Then go to network places or net neighborhood depending on windows version, and you should see the other computer. Any questions pm me or consult windows help. :) :thumb:

    Null modem cable, usb cable, burned cd, ext hard drive, usb key, etc.
