In 1978, which transfercase backed up a V-8 and a four-speed on a K-10? This relates to my search for a SM465/205 combo.

Thanks in advance for the info.

For that year of '78, and that it was mated to the 465, it should be the NP205. [IMG]

Should be an NP205. The NP 205 was standard behind all manual trannies that year. However, this doesnt mean that the NP203 couldnt be had behind a 4 speed. I dont know if that combo was ever produced or not.

Most got 205's but the full time case was available. Best thing to do is crawl under it and look for the round midshaft cover on the back with three bolts. It has that cover it's a 205.

Or, just look at the tag on the t-case itself. $400 for the whole truck eh? Sounds like you can't go wrong.... Good luck.

Why do people keep calling it a Bronco!!!!! [IMG]
