Transmission fitment???

    Is a th700-r4 (tl60) the same tranny we use? I found one from a trans-am used and rebuilt. (my tranny is shot) So I was looking at this one to buy!

    Any help would be great!!

    A 4wd trans has a thicker bell housing with 6 bolts holding the convertor inspection cover on whereas a 2wd trans uses 4 sheet metal screws to hold the cover on.

    You would have to completely tear the 700R4 apart and swap in a 4wd shaft in order to use it or install a 1 7/8" spacer between the trans and adapter.
