    Hey All,
I have a TH400 from a diesel blazer that I am putting behind a gas motor. Does anyone know if there are any internal mods that need to be made? What about shift points?
    Thanks,
    David

Shift points (RPM) are handled by the governor, so you can actually modify the shift points by changing the springs and modifying the weights on it. I've never done it, but I know thats how its done. Also an adjustable modulator can change the shift RPM a few MPH up or down, but not much. Personally I say try it as is, and see how you like it. The diesel's I have driven (all military) usually shift at low RPM's, but no tach, so I couldn't say when exactly they shifted.

This won't help any but my th400 and diesel(military) shift at...
    1st to 2nd: 20 MPH
    2nd to 3rd: 45 MPH

How do you hook up a tach on a diesel. I want a tach on mine but don't know what one would hook to on a diesel? Could anybody help me out?
