hey on the way to school today i experienced this problem twice where at complete stop i would press on the gas and there would be no go. after a few seconds at a snails pace it would eventually take off. now i have had this problem before and i replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter about 2 years ago. now it's nothing to replace the fuel filter but is there a way to check the fuel pump? i don't want to go down that road unless i know it's necesary.
    thanks for any help
sorry forgot to add this is my 86 carbed stock motor

You can check the fuel pump by taking the fuel line off the carb and sticking it in a bucket and crankig the motor. If I'm not mistaken it should pump 1 cup in 15 seconds. Or was that 2 cups? SOMEBODY BACK ME UP!! : )
