trouble with seat

    isn't the back seat in a second gen blazer supposed to lift off the hinges? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif or do i really hafto unbolt them? cus i can get the passenger side off no problem, the driver side i fear is rusted tight. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif any suggestions would be helpful. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Your supposed to be able to pull that lever at the back and it releases two latches in the floor that the seat goes into. The seat then folds up against the back of the front seats.

    i got that part down, now i wanna take it out.

    you gotta unbolt the two hinges where the seat pivots. there is only one bolt in each. good luck.

    Put some "deep creep" or "pb blaster" on it, let itsit for a little then use a breaker bar. Thats what I had to do wiht mine to get em off.

    Oh, sorry I just misunderstood ya. As the rest of em said its just one bolt on each hinge. Spray some Blaster on there and theyll come on out.

    those bolts are beefy, but a bunch of liquid wrench or wd40 and a 3' cheater bar will pop em right off... if that doesnt work, try a 6' cheater. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Way i figure, I can put enough force on a bolt with a good cheater bar that either the bolt WILL come loose or the head will snap off... either way, its comin out!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
