I am in process of gathering axles etc. and looking to do a 6 inch lift and run 37'' Boggers. I can not decide on gear ratios to put in my 14 Bolt rear and Dana 44 (will go to Dana 60 when I have $$) What combinations is everyone running in regards to gear ratio, lift and tire size. I am trying to make a decision and it is not easy? I am really interest in those who are running automatics with overdrive. The truck is a 91 Chevy Blazer with auto. I am in western Oregon and do off-road at least once a month.

I would say 4:65 or 4:88's. I believe the max on a 14ff that you can buy is 5:13's.

It depends on what you want. Rock crawling, gas mileage, neck snapping acceleration, etc. There are various calculators that will help you decide. For instance, if you liked the way things work with your current tires, you can use the calculators to find a gear ratio that will keep things pretty much the same (except for rolling mass effects).

Some day: 4" lift, 44" tires, massive cutting, shorter wb and rear overhang.
