Whats the deal with shipping freight? How much does it cost to ship a rear axle with drums 450lbs. something like 400miles? Are there palletizing standards? Who palletizes? Can they pick-up?

    Thanks

    A. Depends on the weight and destination, ie, residential or commercial

    B. No pallet standards.

    C. You pallet the axle. Your responsible for securing the load to it.

    D. Normally only at commercial locations. Otherwise you bring it to a freight facility or team area where multiple truck carriers pick up/drop off.

My D60 weighing in at 650 lbs cost me $325.00 to go from MA to TX.

You'll spend less driving yourself 400 miles to pick it up than it will cost to have shipped.

I shipping a 60 front from NYS to Montana, loading dock or forklift, and it's running $450-ish. Fuel prices are driving the cost up. I shipped on to WA few years ago, only cost $300.
