But it's an s-10. It's a V6, the small one. The starter is engaging the engine, but there's NO spark when I pulled one of the plug wires off the plug while trying to crank it. Haven't pulled the cap off the distributor yet, but cap and rotor was my first thought. Any other ideas? I'm far from a whiz on electrical stuff, but we're going to work on it tommorrow night and I'd like to have an idea of what to do. Thanks.

    Could be:
1.A bad module in the dist. You can take it down to a parts store like Napa and have it tested for free.

2.A bad coil. A parts store should be able to check it also.

3.I dont know if s-10s have them but there also may be a bad fuseable link somewhere. Check if the coil is getting power to it

I agree with Thunder. Also check to see if the rotor has broken off.

I'll second the ignition module being the culprit.

module, coil or pickup coil. For the pickup you have to pull the dist, for the others its easy...
