Hey everybody I just got home 'aboot' an hour ago. Damn my butt is numb!

First of all I have to say a huge thank you to everyone I met, talked to and wrenched with on this trip.

Wes and his wife...thanks for everything, the cooler and refreshments were put to good use [IMG]
The hard part about stopping in on Wes is that its hard to leave! Both he and his wife are very nice and Wes has quite a collection of 'iron' to drool over![IMG]

Rocko...thanks for being so patient with the epic procedure of getting it all hooked up! The beer was very tasty BTW![IMG]
Stampy survived the trip but had a few more issues than tRusty did. I'll fill ya in later.[IMG]

DBlazer...Dude I can't say enough about how much I appreciated your help (and Christie's). I know you said it was no big deal, but to me it was a very big deal! Just in case no-one has noticed(yeah right!) Nashu's Blazer is a mega-beast![IMG] Hell breaking down was worth it just to meet you and be able to check the Blazer out! Thanks again!

Gandolf...enough thanks can't be said![IMG] As well as setting me up with over 400 minutes of free long distance for the trip he helped co-ordinate what I had no way of doing! Mark was my invisible co-pilot and I want everyone to know what a complete and total class act he is!

Solowookie...I heard 'aboot' your offers of help from Mark! Thanks very much! I feel pretty bad about driving right by twice without stopping in...[IMG] The first time I didn't know where you lived and the second time I was hauling a$$ to Twiztid's place due to a miscalculation of where I was.

Twiztid (Eric)...Thank you also for taking so much time out to help fix the alternato pivot bolt! I hope you get a chance to post a link to the picture of my 'repair job...[IMG] You have quite a cool project there dude!

I'm sure this is starting to look like some sort of an oscar speech...[IMG] I just also wanted to thank everyone that wished me well or made offers of help if needed. I've never felt so secure on a long road trip as I did on this one!

I crossed the border this morning at 6:00 am, and customs was really cool about the whole thing, they wrote on their form that I was gone for seven days instead of six so I could use my yearly exemption and I didn't have to pay a thing to get Stampy across!
Now the ironic part, our insurance laws are different so I knew I had to check in a the scales to buy a permit to tow Stampy the last 15 miles home. When I pulled up they made me run the trucks over the scales before they'd sell me anything. It turns out that Stampy was 3400 lbs, or 400 lbs too heavy to be towed without brakes. The guy ticketed me (no fine) which meant the only way Stampy was leaving the scales was on the back of a tow truck...So I blew $80 on a tow job to my work and finally rolled into my driveway about 9:30 or so.

I was also quite shocked at the posts about my trip! I got updated at Rocko's place, DBlazers place and ThatK30Guy's place and lastly at bandits place last night. Very funny stuff! Then I saw the Blazer of the month post...I damn near laughed my a$$ off! At least y'all know why i call her tRusty now!

I'll post more later after I've had some Z's...I have been awake more or less since Twiztid's house, which is in Clearfield
    Utah! Roughly 29 hours...[IMG]

Rene...turtle gone in favor of bandwidth conservation.

    My ass is numb...

Great to hear you're back home safely! Being in California during your excursion through Oregon, I was pissed I couldn't escort you with my "new beast"...............as you have seen from my email this morning we got the one ton conversion done this weekend. Wish I could have guided you through the Oregon/Washington portion..............
