Does anyone know why most fullsizes that do well at TTC are tall as a house, but the general notion is that your center of gravity should be low to perform offroad? Brian Waddels giant green suburban won it, Corey Dean did damn well in a giant red truck, etc. I don't even know if this is true it just seems to be that way to me.

When I watched the 2002 TTC most trucks were near the same height. Even the Yota was nearly as tall as the Chevys.

yeah, not to many low-riders at TTC. Some of the obstacles are just to damn big for a rig on 35s to get over. Even simple stuff like the mud bog part... I mean after a bunch of guys on 44s or 48s have torn the hell out of the course and created 5-6' deep ruts, how is a low rig gonna tranverse it? not very easily unless its a zuk and can float over or something.
