TTC

Discussion in 'OffRoad Design' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Feb 21, 2001.

Steve, Good luck on the TTC. The 5 looks great, not like a beater. THe 42's look huge compared to the metal, and interesting was the "custom four link front?" What was used for this setup. Well, hopefully all who read this will go and vote for you on attending TTC, so we can see all the hard work we all do pay off. Later, and good luck,

The General ( nickname related to work)

You've got a lot of votes from this site............mine fersure. As well as voting for all the K5's in the magazine, glad to see the strong turnout this year with Blazers.............

By the way, is your rig totally converted back to one ton drivetrain now? Did you sell your 1/2 ton stuff yet?

Good luck to you, Stephen.

It's back to the 14 bolt, and has a D60 under the front now, but we're building another to use for the real one, this one was just easier to put under it than swapping the 10 bolt to 8 lug. Plus I didn't want a pic of the thing with a 10 bolt and 42s!
The front will be 3 leading links to locate front to rear, and a panhard bar for the side to side. should flex like the leaves do now and steer and drive a lot better, and be more durable. Plus I won't have to worry much about the 2.5" res. shocks fading out. Should be able to get to some good camping spots in a hurry!
Thanks for the votes, we'll do our best to bring back the first K5 win. And I think the first full size win.

My opinion on who will be in

IMHO, I think the ones guaranteed to be in are:
20 (K5, 454 bigblock, 44"s, female driver, you figure it out)
27, 44, 50, 56

My personal favorites were: 7, 21, 24, 32, 34, 39, 61, 63, & 67

Other possible contenders: 1, 5, 13, 22, 35, 43, 55, and any of those big block powered jeeps

What were they thinking?: 14(44" boggers, Dana44 frontend?)
15 (a four cyclinder?)
18(has a dream setup, NV4500, AtlasII, locked D60's, but has a stock motor <6 cylinder>)
57 & 59 (look at the pictures and you'll understand)

What do you guys think?

I'm always disappointed in the lack of diesel submissions. There is more than one type of fuel out there, but Fourwheeler wouldn't tell you about it!

you can vote as long as you buy a copy and send in the original page... not a photo copy of it... so go grab one up and vote away...(all before you're 18 even) Heehehe [IMG]

All my votes went to Blazers or S10s.

2, 17, 20, 32, 36, 43, 49, 51, 56, and 67 I'm tired of reading bout jeeps. Too bad so many idiots out there think a Jeep is THE 4x4.

I about laughed myself silly over number 57. While it is a nice Ranger it is no TTC truck. 59 may not be the best choice but its much better than 57.

I think the Pink Rod (50) will make it and the Van (35) just because they are different. But I'm hoping for at least 2 blazers and praying for one to win :)

He's been entering for the last couple of years, it's well built and tested. I kind of hope he doesn't make it, he's going to be really tough competition! Course they can't all have TTB D44's and 44" tires........
