Has anyone done this? I'm seriously thinking about going for it. Lose weight, quit smashing fenders, ect

Something similar to these, especially the rockstomper rig.

Except that I'd lose all my front sheet metal, use a piece of plexiglass for my hood, and aluminum for the sides, and have some sort of custom type grill/lights mount.

    any ideas?

Im thinking about it but the $$ situation right now is hampering it. but i want to get rid of my fenders and have tubes everywhere---so basically whats left of my truck will be the cab and glove box (mabye)

I am going to do this. My plan:
    1. like most rockbuggies I will use car halogen lights from a car
    2. The hood will narrow from the cab and end up being about the width of the radiator.
    3. Similarly, I plan on getting rid of my rear body panels and possibly going to clear lexan or plexiglass (like the arca rigs)

make sure those halogen lights are from the right car. I've got a prism with a busted headlight right now, and a replacement is going to be $250 WTF!!!

Scooby- my glovebox was the FIRST thing to go...not on purpose though. It gave up the ghost a long time ago.
