How hot do the transmisson lines get? I've heard that a transmission that overheats can cause a engine to get hot. I grabed the trany lines and they were hot enough that I couldn't hold them for even a second.

They get hot under load, and heat kills trannys fast. It makes seals go bad and the tranny starts to leak internally, which makes it slip = more heat. Not good [IMG]. Install a auxillary tranny cooler if you haven´t already. It´s a simple operation. Just mount it infont of the radiator and direct the oil to the cooler after it has been in the "little" cooler in the radiator. Makes a big difference. If you do this you will of course have to add some more trannyfluid.

There´s also aftermarket bigger aluminum trannypans that´ll make your tranny stay cooler.
