Seeing as my '72 Burb is my first foray into the world of IFS....I'm looking for a little validation on the noise I hear when I turn corners.

Not knowing all the details, I seem to recall the A-Arm bushings were replaced by the P.O. but I wonder if they did the balljoints at the same time? The current dull "thump" around corners seems to indicate "no".....

Am I on the right path in diagnosing this noise?

Greg...2wd steering has a bunch of a extra linkage...the idler arm and the pitman arm are the usual culprits...easiest way to confirm is to jack up one side at a time and shake the wheel and watch the culprits in action...the play they develop is kinda amazing actually...and to this day gm still has the same problem...and from experience when we repalce these parts MOOG is the way to go...
