The light from the laptop screen was keeping the kids awake, so I'm sitting on the bathtub next to a toilet that's prolly seen more butts than an ashtray at an AA meeting. My arse is starting to hurt... It's Howard Johnson's, not that sleazy, I just wanted the title to sound good...:wink1:

Yesterday was a late strat on our annual Fla trek, then a day of makin awful time, ending the night with a killer steak and potato dinner at the pickle man's house, and a quick MC run.
We WILL get you back, John. The way you guys treat us, I'll rent a Road King for you if I can afford it when you come up to LI. Except the 1am traffic here is a little different...

So anyway... It took vacation time to be able to sit and catch up on CK5... It's been like a week or so, and I'm doing it from a toilet room in Georgia...

Cool, sounds like an adventure so far!

How long are you going to be on the road?

it's no biggey brother! I'm glad we got to hang out and ride the bikes some last night. I'd treat all my ck5 bro's to a nice bed, dinner, and good company :D . just be prepared for late summer, I have a feeling things are going to go our way for once, if I'm not in class then, and you'll be seeing us. hopefully we'll have a car full also :D .

We were supposed to be in Mt. Dora Florida by tonight, but things got a little messed up at our destination, so we're in a holding pattern, not getting there til tomorrow evening or afternoon. I'm not ure when we're leaving for NY again, I think this wednesday, but we'll see what shakes out. Work has been so overbearing lately that I wouldn't mind getting home a couple days early and doing family stuff around our hometown.

I love being on the road like this, but we've been so far behind "schedule" from the start, it hasn't been the same relaxed fun it usually is. I'm praying the drive home is just a full-throttle shot. If I can do 90 most of the return trip, we should make it back to NY in one day.

Sometimes people think I give too much of an answer to a simple question. Ya think?

Pleasure, I'm clinging to the "I'm 1300 miles away, I can't come in" excuse for work, and we're visiting family.

Yeah, 90 as much as possible, but that doesn't mean the speed limits are 90...
We do it in a minivan... We were battling a Toyota Sienna for first place for about an hour today in South Carolina, between 85-90mph. Normally I only do that when traffic is light, though, I don't like weaving in and out or cuttign peeps off. Today I was pushing for lost time, which is futile.

I dunno... We usually average about 3k round trip. That's with lots of driving while we're there, too.

Rob, I might really come by one day... She has family in Puyallup and Tacoma, maybe I'll go with her this year...

I just finished a road trip to WA last weekend. I met TSGB.

And I waved to 'Fumes and UYB when I crossed the Columbia River to and from I-84!
