Over the weekend I developed a strong fast vibration. Since it felt like I had a nail stuck in my tire, I checked them out, nothing there. Strange thing, when I let off the gas, it goes completely away. It starts at different speeds, but mostly above 45 mph. I have 125k. What does a bad u-joint or motor mount feel like.

Change your u-joint and don't wait. I waited and it cost me a new slip yoke and a new yoke on the drive shaft. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

Well, Take your 99% estimate and move it up to 100%.
Came back as a bad rear joint with not much time to spare, I'm having both front and back replaced. Whoa, am I glad I took it right in. As a new owner, the assistance is greatly appreciated.

I don't even want to know how much $$$ a shop charged to replace your u joints. A decent u joint press from Harbor Freight is about $40. Do yourself a favor, especially if you plan to wheel, and learn how to do it yourself, your bank account will thank you for it. Glad we all could help!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
