"U" joints

    \"U\" joints

    This question is minor but i need some advice, i have the front axles out and the ujoints are in good shape. I am thinking of installing a set of new ujoints with grease fittings so i can lube them without taking everything apart. I was told that this is not a good idea. What do you think???

    That is correct. The steering Ujoints should be the non serviceable type or sealed type. that way the zerk fitting is not in the way at full turn + the sealed version last longer than the servicable type due to the elements not getting into the Ujoint.
