I think Rich will win. Nate quarry is real good, but not good enough.

Matt hughes will need all he can get to win against Joe Riggs, riggs is only 23 and has some serious power.

I'm going to watch it at home...$35 is still cheaper than hitting a bar for a few hours to watch it. :D I'll be rooting for Matt Hughes. I think Hughes will kick Riggs' arse. I don't have any strong opinions for the rest of the card. The only time I remember watching Sean Sherk fight (and I've watched most of the UFC's) was when he lost against Matt Hughes a few years ago. Pierre seems pretty impressive from what I've seen. Who is the favorite (St. Pierre vs. Sherk)? I'll root for Sherk.

    As of 11:27 pm:

    1. Sean Sherk lost...he's simply too short. Pierre looked impressive.

    2. Joe Riggs did not make the required 170 weight. This meant: A) The match wasn't a title fight, and B) the fight was 3 rounds instead of 5.

    It didn't matter...Hughes kicked Joe Riggs' arse...in the first round...just like I predicted...Riggs submitted. ;)

If you would have watched UFCs #1 through about #20, before they had weight classes, rounds and some of their rules, you would know that size, age, and strength don't necessarily determine the winner. Look at Randy Couture, what is he 42 and lost his belt not too long ago. He cleaned the cage up with some kids that were half his age.:eek1:

What is this with Tito Ortiz making an appearance and being a coach for the next Ultimate Fighter. I guess being banned from the UFC has no meaning. For a moment I thought I was watching the WWE with all the drama going on in the Octagon. I hope this was a one time event and that kind of soap opera material is left for the fake fights, otherwise I might have to start watching Pride Fighting instead.
And speaking of Pride fighting, I hope the UFC learned from that one fight tonight that they should employ the 'yellow card' from PF. For those that don't know, the yellow card deducts money from the purse for a fighter who isn't being active.

Was the fight with jeremy horn any good? My cable box messed up for an hour of the show. So I missed up until round 2 for the st. pierre fight.

I got the rest on tape though :eek1:

I knew Franklin would win. Good to see those Ultimate Fighters put in their place and get a reality check. :D
I liked it when Joe 'Rogaine' said "Ah dude, your spitting blood all over me" :haha:

Joe Riggs got punked by Hughes. St Pieere taught a a lesson. Franklin taught Quarry a lesson. That Jordan fight SUCKED but the knockout was brutal. Overall a great show. I just bought four tickets to 57 in Vegas. $1258.oo for four tickets! It's gonna be awesome seeing Randy and Chuck battle.
