lets figure out what weekend
Just so everyone knows, the 17th and 18th is a work weekend at Uwharrie. Most of us go and help out with trail cleanup and repair fencing and such. Usually this creates a little more traffic and traffic jams due to the volunteers on the trails.
Got this off the Uwharrie website about new trail passes for 2004.....
"As a public service to our customers, who recreate in the Uwharrie National Forest, we are changing the procedures for obtaining an OHV Trail Pass for the 2004 Season. The Uwharrie National Forest, local vendors, and ATV/4 Wheel Organizations will jointly participate in selling the annual
and daily OHV Trail Passes. Payment for trail usage at the trail heads will not be available for the 2004 season. More information will be provided on our website once the final details have been completed or by calling the Uwharrie Ranger Office at 910-576-6391"
Wow, what a PITA. Are they having theft issues at the pay boxes like Tellico?
