    anyone know how to get old undercoat off frame wheel wells ext. any suggestions

    Just be very carefull not to light the truck on fire.

    You might want to buy or rent a heat gun.
    Less chance of setting your truck on fire!
    Undercoating sucks, nothing like some good old paint if you keep it up or better yet is POR-15.
