Lets make this the every option for a rear axle thread. So lets hear about all the mods for 10 bolt, 12 bolt, and 14 bolt both SF and FF. Please include costs of parts if you can.

14 bolt full floater options are pretty simple/cheap.

Disc brakes (complete inc. brackets) ~$250
    Detroit Locker ~$315

Assuming it is geared how you want it, of course. Gears and an install kit will add in the neighborhood of $250-300. Purchase price around $100-150 (average). Bulletproof and brand new for under a grand. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Another part of the appeal of this setup is the ease of installation of all the parts. Anybody can do the brakes or drop in a Detroit on a 14 bolt, and damn near anybody can set up the gears. Additionally, short of a complete gear change, the Detroit or rear discs can be done in a driveway in a leisurely afternoon with hand tools.

Yup, this would probably require an aircraft carrier sized server. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
