    Up late cause I am bidding on something on ebay and I want to snipe it up. Hope I get it or this will have been for nothing... will edit this if I win the thing and make a post about what color to paint my 383.

    Nah, my 355 is that color, want something different. Going to be the same red as the intake of a LT4.

    I think the purple would look sweet, but might look like crap in ten years. I tend to put stuff like that in and leave it there, I don't know if you would have it out again before 10 years pass...


    My dad just painted his studebake motor orange/red, and the head silver. I'm not a big fan of silver paint, reminds me too much of the tin man from Wizard of Oz.

    You have an LT1 you're rebuilding?

    When we put the new Magnum 5.9 in Dodge (aka HER Dodge) I made the mistake of asking "what color would you want to paint it"

    She said Purple. I laughed, but she was serious. I told her, OK, I'll paint it purple if and only if I can find it.

    Damn Napa for having "Plum Purple" engine paint.....

    actually we already have a purple motor. Its almost the exact same color as that intake. Its a short block assembly sitting in our garage. It looks REALLY good. I'll take pictures when I go home.
