successfully installed the shaft today, wasnt too bad really, other than the reman shaft splines needed some attention to get it to slide in /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

if it aint broke, dont fix it.. check the other side for tears in the boots and excessive play.. otherwise "if it aint broke.." /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

ALthough with everything ive done on my truck not in pairs it comes back to bite me in the [censored] /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif like with seals on the ifs Diff the driver side was leaking so i dropped the whole diff out and replaced the driver side seal and now the pass side seal is leaking. Also with the hubs one side went bad but i didnt have money to fix it then other side goes out so the truck sat for 3 months but i now put new hubs and have been using it as my DD and been offroading. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Have fun these ifs trucks are very easy to work on.

yea i have noticed that, i was a little afraid at first when i got it do to the ifs and the computer stuff, but after having tiny problems and doing little mods, they realy aint that much harder to work on if nothing else with the computer they are easier just read the code and you know where to start to fix it!!!

yeap..thats why im getting ready to ditch my truck in favor of a newer chevy. yes i love the older chevies..but mine is such a PITA..ALWAYS aomething with this thing, this truck has never just ran good with out some little problem hitchin it. and now its getting to the point of being plain unrelieble and has screwed me up for school and work, and its the middle of winter and i cant have this crap goin on now, just wanna get the s-10 on the road, and park this thing till spring. only thing i dont liek about the IFS is the crazy price to lift one..sure would like the ride form one though my truck does ride a little on the roough side and it gets kinda old..speacialy after riding in some of my friends newer rigs..
