Well, I've gone from my local Parks and Recreation department to the People in the state capital with The Recreational Trails Program. They said, and I quote, "This is definately a project that is highly suitable for the Recreational Trails Program" and proceeded to give me a few people to contact, the main one being on vacation this week. I can't believe this has gotten this far, and I can only hope it keeps going. I'm having a hard time staying focused at work, keep daydreaming that my new job will be dealing with 4x4's all day, and I don't mean wrenching on em, just trying to build stuff to keep em challenged. Wouldn't that be cool? Well, this is just an update for those that were following the thread a couple weeks ago. I still haven't been told to start a petition. Doesn't look like I'm gonna need to.

I know at least one group, the Suncoast Flatlanders that might support you on that. That and the Florida 4wd Assoc. Email the guy from the Flatlanders, his address is on this site http://www.suncoastflatlanders.com/index.htm. I bet you wouldn't have to hard a time getting some organizations behind you. Even though things look good, it won't hurt to have some more people on your side, willing to help out.
Let me know if I can do anything.

Hey Dreamer, hop over to Blazin Trails. There is a few of us from the Tampa area sorta talking about planning a small group ride in the near future, to Croom or Richloam or both. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
