Here are some pics of the first run of the Truggy after upgrading to a Detroit in the front. Operation is MUCH smoother than the Lock-Rite and much less snap-n-pop. Got to test the limits of the new suspension, and find the tip point for off-camber. The CG turned out to be a bit lower than I thought. Here are the pics. But, fair warning there are lots of pics here. I'll add some descriptions later when I have time.

Looks really good Russ, did the cooler stay where it was supposed to at all times or is that next on the list? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks guys! It was a blast and is working so much better than it was before.

Rene - Yes, the cooler stays in place, as long as I don't trust my son and his friend to tie it down. It never moved once today. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But that's not the permanent mount which is on the "to do" list.

One other thing, my wife and 12 year old daughter along with her friend rode all the way through! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

And, gotta give credit where due. Keith (Crusarius) took the good pics, the blury ones are from my broken digi that no longer focuses right.

    Cool pics Russ! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Funny how a little paint on the truggy cage makes it look like a totally different vehicle.

Hey, we just couldn't afford to run the drier after all those upgrades, so I told my wife that's why I spent all the money on the roll bar. " Look, it's your new high performance portable clothes line honey!" /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

After it being so cool lately we didn't expect it to get so hot on the trail up there. Also, we went off and left the sun block at home so we were trying to keep my daughter from getting burned. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Did you put the detroit in yourself? Was a case spreader required?

Tim: A local member (Brian La Barge) did the setup for me. No, a spreader was not required for the Detroit or the old case that I had in and out a few times.

Steve: I'm exactly 6' wide except for the cowl "hips" which are going to be replaced with flat sheet so that they are the same width as the cage/body (6').
