My brother has a 79 K5. He said that the brakes have felt spongy for about 2 weeks. Today they just pretty much stopped working. He said that the brake pedal is really spongy, and it gets to a point where it wont push down any farther, and the truck just barely starts stopping. It basicly slowly rolls to a stop. The fluid is full. He couldnt really inspect them, since it just started not stopping tonight, and its dark. Any ideas guys??

Could also be air in the lines.

We bled the lines today and that didnt help. We finally figured out that it is the brake booster. And it costs $80 at autozone. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
