(I forgot to mention that this noise only starts when it is hot outside 65-90 degrees)

    Does that change anything ????

Ok Heres yet another problem Im having. My truck whines as I drive at first I thought it was in the steering but I think it is just when my truck is in motion. Any ideas???????? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

Could be a bearing. But where is the fun part.

Check all fluids in diffs, and x-fercase. Check joints -usually click.

Could also be a tire.... M/Ts???

    Good luck.

The 700R4 in my S10 whined before it blew... Are you feeling any slippage? Actually, thinking about it, it whined in gear and out of gear, so if your noise is only during motion, I'd look around the parts that only move in motion, T-case level, and diff's level.

Check all your fluids, grease your U-joints, check for uneven wear on the tires, they could be howling, check your stereo for a good ground, make sure the dog isn't in the back seat whining /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I wish hot down here was 65 /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif . Anyways, Are your brake pads worn out? Maybe a wheel bearing? My tranny made whinning noises when it went out and I experienced no slipping, just late/erratic shifts.

    What has been done lately?

It almost sounds like your gears in the front end are new...

Did you check the front-end for fluid?
When was the last time it was replaced?

Does the front end need any special additives?

    Good luck.

Time to do some more investigating. Change the fluids, etc.

Let us know how the fluids look, etc.
    Good luck.
